Training and Education

A degree in French and Drama at Queen Mary and Westfield College, (University of London), spurred Camilla to train as an actress at Central School of Speech and Drama (London) and later at the Atelier Raymond-Girard in Paris.  Awarded at a tender age a Buckinghamshire scholarship for music, Camilla is classically trained in guitar, all sizes of recorder (both beyond grade 8) and violin. In recent years Camilla has been attending classical singing training with John Dalby and keeps up regular tap, salsa, flamenco, yoga and cross-country running!

Career

Camilla's multi-lingual facility has enabled her to work a great deal in French and Italian.  Highlights include playing Cleopatra in French; Puck in Italian, and meeting writer/director Marco Ghelardi, who wrote a part for her (in Italian) in his award winning play, Di Come Savona Ebbe Il Suo Teatro.  Camilla also co-runs a multilingual theatre company called Compagnie Sublime with whom she translates and produces her own productions based on French and Italian texts.

In the UK, credits range from literary adaptations: The Cazalets - BBC, Hotel Secrets - Discovery,Victoria and Albert - ITV, Kings and Queens - C5, Lysistrata - title role, Seven Screams at Sea - Baroness Pertus, Dangerous Liaisons - Marquise de Merteuil) to quirky and comedic roles (Bridget Jones’ Diary, The Witches, Freeserve , O2 and Delicious).

As a multi-lingual role-player, Camilla’s work has ranged from coaching in Algeria; assessing in Rome and forum theatre in New York. However, UK role-play work to date include: Relationship Management (HSBC), Graduate Diversity Training (Slaughter and May), Leadership (Kier Construction), Employment Law (AXA PPP), Diversity Awareness and Leadership (Nomura), Effective Management and Direct Report Competencies (HM Treasury), In-Flight Service Management (Air New Zealand), Medical Assessment (Imperial College, Guy’s Hospital, Royal College of Psychiatrists), Assessment–Interactive Coaching (Fast Track Teachers) Conceptual Thinking and Presentation Skills (DfES), Customer Service (Umberto Gianini, BAA), People Management Development (Wyeth Laboratories,PRS), Interview Simulation/Recruitment (Carat, Invesco, SC Johnson, Home Office), Facilities Inspection/Service Team Leading (BAA), and Human Qualities (Red Letter Days).
